AB's Drawer

AB loves to pull up and stand.  To give her something to pull up on, other than my thumbs, and something to play with, I have let her dig through her bottom drawer.  Right now it holds clothes that are a bit too big for her.  She loves it!  I have to keep my hands on or near her since sometimes she falls over sideways. So cute.

By the way, do you see that white and blue thing on the floor in the background?  That is AB's super expensive air purifier.  We have been saving up to buy it for quite sometime.  I am happy to say that now when I clean out her nose, it is only the normal stuff and not the black stuff. I checked the filter just 2 weeks after we bought it, and it is black, completely black.

Guess what just arrived in our city?!!!

Dreyers Ice Cream!!  We would be even more excited if it was Blue Bell, but when the only other option for ice cream is something so terrible tasting that we would rather go without ever eating ice cream again than to eat it...Dreyers is perfectly fine.  For $12 a container you too can get in on the Dreyers action.

Also, our city just started carrying REAL Hershey's Syrup.  However, the fake Hershey's Syrup has been available here for a while.  One of the bottles below is real and one is fake.  Can you figure out which one is fake and which one is real? Hint: The real Hershey's Syrup has a label that is painted on, rather than stuck on like a sticker. Still can't figure it out?  The one on the left is a knock off of Hershey's Syrup (it tastes bad), the on on the right is imported and is real.

Water Misting Truck

This truck drives around releasing mist into the air. It is supposed to help clean the air by the water attaching to all things dirty and bring the dirtiness to the ground.  They are going to need like a thousand more of these truck to even put a dent in the dirtiness of our city.  I think our city of 12 million has 2 of these trucks.

First Drink of Water

This was on AB's 5th month birthday. We decided to let her have her first drink of water.  I read that at first it is good to let them get the feel of drinking from a real cup and then progress to a sippy cup. I guess that works for some babies, but AB preferred to stick her tongue into the cup, grab the cup from me, and dump it on herself. After 2 weeks of using a small cup we are now switching to a sippy cup. I guess nothing is perfect because she is just gumming the spout of the sippy cup rather than drinking from it.  At least she is not making a mess.

Those are our grilled cheese sandwiches with green bell peppers burning on the stove.

Paige's Clothes, Part 2

Considering all baby clothes in this country for children under the age of 3 have split bottom pants (they don't wear diapers, the splits let them use the restroom wherever they feel like it), all of AB's clothes come from the U.S. Although I have gotten her a few things online, from grandparents and some friends have sent her outfits, around half of AB's clothes come from her cousin Paige.  This is one such outfit.
