Leaving the hospital

"Thanks" to our Thailand friends for this fruit/floral basket.
"Thanks" to the Leeches, Smiths, and Uncle MAL for these absolutely beautiful flowers.
Here we are waiting outside the hospital for a taxi. We left a day earlier than most people do because our insurance only covers shared hospital rooms.  The first night we paid the difference for a private room and the next night we did the shared room.  One night in a shared room was enough for us, and our gracious doctors let us leave a day early as long as we came in for an appointment 2 days later.

Apparently most Thai babies do not leave the hospital in anything other than the hospital outfit and blanket.  The nurses went gaga over seeing AB in her pink onsie, cute blanket, and bow.
We are heading back to the hotel. We should tell you that most countries in Asia do not have laws pertaining to infant seats.  In fact once an American friend saw a woman breast feeding while ridding on the back of a motorcycle.  This is a bit unsettling for us, but even if we did have a baby seat there would be nothing to attach it to since often the seat-belts are removed from most taxi back seats.  It just so happens that this taxi has kept their seat belts.  Please don't send us hate e-mails for not having her in a car seat.  We don't like it either.

LB is in shock that we have a little baby now and we are taking her to the first of 4 hotels she will live in before she finally gets to our home in Asia.  We will be in Thailand for another month.
