My Third Born

So posting on my blog is a bit more of a challenge with three kids.  Someone once asked me what I like to do in my free time.  I was literally stumped.  I guess you could count showering or on the rare occasion soaking for a few minutes in a bath since usually I am do those things by myself...unless one of my mobile kids decides that is the perfect time for a conversation.  My only true and consistent "free time" is when I exercise, which I do manage to exercise 5-6 days a week for 30 minutes.  My insightful husband noticed I was a bit more bearable to be around if I worked the stress of the day out on my elliptical while watching mindless TV shows, so he said it is a priority for me to exercise.  So basically other than exercising for sanity purposes I have no hobbies (other than reading teenage/YA paranormal romance novels while nursing).  I do hope to get some one day, and right now I would be happy with just a little free time so I can stare at the wall in a quiet room...that sounds nice right now.

Anyways, tonight I found myself with a whole hour to myself, thus the update to the blog.  It might be a little scatterbrained.

I am not a photographer.  However in the last few years I have begun to understand what it means to have good light for a picture and to shun the flash.  Alas, even knowing I should take better care to light the room more adequately when I take pictures and to actually read my camera manual so I can take it off of auto, I still take pictures with bad light and on auto.  Oh well, RB still looks good.

Here are his 2 month pictures.  If you know much about my first two kids, you probably know that they are lightweights, usually falling down into the 5-10th percentile in weight after they turned 6 months old.  Something has changes with this one.  I am not sure if it is because he eats SO MANY times at night or what, but he is in the 90th percentile in weight.

Why you might ask do I let him eat so much at night?  My poor baby has reflux that is triggered by two separate things - his milk protein allergy and crying.  So yep, letting him cry himself to sleep literally causes him pain which will keep him up, and the only way to get him back to sleep quickly is nursing him, hence the 3-5 times a night I nurse him.  Yes now that I think about it, this is probably why he has so many squishy rolls.

By the way, if anyone out there has had a baby with a milk protein allergy (who also reacts when I eat beef), please let me know.  I would love to ask you some questions.  RB reacts if I consume even a drop of milk, butter, cheese, cream, sour cream or anything made with them.  It has presented some cooking challenges, especially since I often cannot taste the food I prepare for other people.  I just make it, give it to them and hope for the best.  I have digressed...

Here is RB

I think he will either have green or brown eyes.

Can you see?  His eyelashes started coming in.

Other than my lap when I am sitting on the rocking chair, RB's new favorite seat is the Bumbo.  He loves it.

Here are his 3 month pictures.

Apparently I took these pictures a little too close to nap time.

Recently he discovered his hands, and now he has to wear a drool bib because he cannot stop chewing (gumming) on them.  We are all pretty smitten with him.

Leslie,
Alastair had problems when I consumed milk too. But I'm not sure that I have any answers. Feel free to email though! :)
