Photos

LB was trying to take AB's birth announcement photos, and AB was doing everything she could to make goofy faces at the camera. What a ham!

At Home

For those who know KB, they know that his favorite pastime is napping. It looks like he has a good napping buddy.

This is what AB looks like when we go outside. You can't see but she has on a pair of socks, a long sleeve onsie, a sleeper-style body suit, a fleece sleeper, a hat and her bunting. Then when I carried her I wrapped her in a blanket. She could not move. When we go out she just gets comfortable and falls a sleep.

As you have probably seen LB loves to hold AB. It is her favorite thing to do.

Sneeze!!!

We filmed this in Thailand while we were packing the night before we started our trek home. We love to hear her sneeze. It is such a little sneeze!

Welcome Home!

LB's teacher came by to welcome AB to our city. She brought AB a beautiful bouquet of flowers. We had no idea that orchids were available here during the winter! We tried to catch a good photo of AB to give to LB's teacher. KB thought the fussy photo was cute of AB.

Notice:

Dear Blog Viewer,

We'd like to acknowledge LB's brother ML for saving our computer...again! Our internet browser crashed, which somehow deleted all of our emails and email addresses. ML sent us a new internet browser through Skype and we can now access the internet, but we were not able to recover our old emails and email addresses. Please send us an email at eastasiabrowns@pobox.com so we can have your address on file again.

Thanks,

Management

p.s.- Last week our 6 year old Dell decided to go into retirement (Can you blame it? That's like 97 years old in laptop years), and we can no longer rely on our flaky Mac. We are currently in the process of shoping around for a new laptop. If anyone has any suggestions or knows any good deals, please let us know. We are repenting of our Mac ways and are returning to the PC world. Please don't judge us for a year and a half of living in "Macfullness," the computer has already punished us enough.

Shout Out To...

LB's brother ML.  He saved the day when he saved our computer after the "technician," who apparently knew nothing about Mac computers, "fixed" our internet.  Shout Out!!!

Hotel Number 4

This is AB's fourth hotel to stay in during the short first month of her life.  She loves to lay on her mommy, especially in strange new places.

Flying Home

A few days ago we started or trek back to our city.  This was on our first flight.  AB did so well on all of our flights.  She slept most of the time and ate off and on.  The man sitting next to LB said he was a bit nervous about sitting next to a baby and her potential for crying the entire time, but he said AB did very good and he enjoyed sitting next to her.
This is AB in her Thai Airways bassinet.  She actually did not stay in it as long as we hoped.  We thought she looked really cozy though.

This is how AB preferred to spend the flight.  Thankfully she slept in her bassinet long enough that LB was able to eat her lunch before AB wanted to be held.

1 Month Old!!!

Last week AB turned 1 month old.  Although LB is not all that happy about AB getting older already, she cannot deny that AB takes a cute photo with her Thai elephant and Boppy.

Fun with Mommy

While in Thailand AB's bed blocked LB from getting out of bed easily, so LB often stood up and walked across the bed (only before housekeeping came to fix up the bed).   LB caught AB checking her mommy out.

Marked for Him...

AB fell a sleep on her mommy who wears a cross.  When LB put her down into her stroller we noticed that AB had a mark on her cheek.  We think it is a good sign.

Real Bath!

This is AB's first real bath after her umbilical cord fell off and her belly button stopped bleeding.  She likes her baths.  She is always a little uncertain of the warm water when she first gets put in, but then she settles in really fast.  She just ate.  Can you tell?

More Feet

KB loves AB's little feet.  He just can't keep from taking photo of them when they find their way out of a blanket, wrap or socks.

Anti-Stroller AB

AB has decided that she prefers being in her Moby wrap rather than being in her stroller when we go out right now.  Since she is so little I guess it is not a big deal, and LB enjoys having her close.  We are still in Thailand in this photo (hence the short sleeves) and we are having a nice desert date at a local outside restaurant.

Bonnet

So, AB has fair skin like her mom, she has red hair, and we were in Thailand = all reasons why her head and face are being protected from the sun.  Although KB couldn't believe that LB spent money on something that would only be worn a few times, those few times were important to set a foundation for proper skin protection...plus AB just looks so cute!

Bonnet_2

More bonnet/swimsuit photos.  This was AB's last time to wear her cute bathing suit, so we wanted to take lots of photos to remember it.

?

I don't know why KB put this on the blog.  It is a bad quality photo, but I guess he liked us looking at each other.

Family Outing

This is AB before we left for a two hour outing.
This is AB afterwards...she had an exhausting afternoon napping.

Little Foot

When we are out and AB is sleeping we cover her stroller with one of LB's wraps to help AB sleep better.  This day AB must have stretched out a little after we covered her.  Isn't her foot cute?

Mother-Daughter Nap Time

Mom and daughter are equally tired and in need of a nap.  Thank goodness for naps!

Mom and Daughter Time

(LB is wearing white shorts.  Thanks to "you know who you are" for the suggestion to clarify that)

Hanging Out

Just after AB finishes eating she and her mommy just kind of hang out for a while.  Then she gets fussy and is ready to take another nap.  These times just after she eats are fun for everyone.

Stages of AB Crying

Here AB is already showing signs of getting ready to pitch a fit.
Here her fit is at the point of no return.  It is inevitable and about to happen.
Here she is starting the cry, but it is not that strong.  She can and will show us the strength of her lungs.
Now AB sounds like a little squealing pig.  She is pretty easy to calm down at this point.  LB is laughing because KB was wanting to get photos of AB crying and AB did not fail him.
Isn't this sweet?

Swim Suit!

AB got to wear her swim suit today.  She did not get into the water, but hopefully we will get to take a dip before we leave.  Her mommy is a little more concerned about putting on a bathing suit than AB is.
